Hello, I'm Claire

A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn’t in the plans for the long haul. As with many expat moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, heightened expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more challenging than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built WindSereinRipple
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What this site does (and does not)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights gained from living in France
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated when real changes occur
This site is not:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- Just another generic travel blog
